RSV awareness campaign 2021
Awarenessweek 2021: Prevention is Protection
Each year, at the start of the RSV season (October-November) we are actively campaigning for more awareness about RSV. This year, from Monday Novmber 8th until Friday November 12th we will be raising more consciousness about the risk of RSV among infants through the awareness week. On this edition, our theme is: ‘Prevention is Protection’ and we want to emphasize the importance of the safety measures that are already in place during the current COVID pandemic and their capacity to also lower the transmission of viruses like RSV.
From November 8th until November 12th, we will share interesting interviews, expert advice on how to prevent RSV infection, parents’ experiences and more. Overall, our campaign covers the stories of parents and doctors and their advice to mitigate the number of RSV infections during the upcoming RSV Season.

RSV awareness campaign 2020
Awarenessweek 2020: Follow your instincts!
Each year, at the start of the RSV season (October-November) we are actively campaigning for more awareness about RSV by organizing an awareness week. This year, the awareness week will start on November 9th, and will be themed ‘Follow your instincts!’. We want to emphasize the importance of trusting your instincts as a parent when you feel something is really wrong with your child.
From November 9th until November 13th, we will share videos, interviews, parents’ and professionals’ experiences and many more about RSV on our Social Media channels. Our campaign covers the different stages parents go through when caring for a child with RSV: from recognition and diagnosis, to hospitalization and the possible sequelae after discharge.

RSV awareness campaign 2019
RSV is very common, and the disease burden on babies is considerable. Yet, only few people seem to be aware of this. We want to change this, and make sure that everyone in Europe has at least heard about RSV.
Each year, at the start of the RSV season (October-November) we are actively campaigning for more awareness. In 2020, we will launch the RSV awareness week on November 9th.
The key message of our campaign is to stress that RSV is a significant health concern for babies. What could be mistaken for ‘just’ a cold may cause serious respiratory infections and even become life-threatening.
